Terms of Service

The ground rules for using Believers Corner, so the app stays a safe, encouraging place for every church family.

Effective 30 October 2026 · Last updated 30 October 2026

Be kind and respectful

Treat every member the way you'd want to be treated at church.

Your content is yours

You own what you post. We just need permission to show it in the app.

Report what's wrong

Reports help us remove harmful content and keep everyone safe.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Fadote Intl Services (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Believers Corner, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Believers Corner.
  • Use your real name or a name people at your church would recognise, and keep your details accurate.
  • Keep your sign‑in secure. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Don't pretend to be someone else, including a pastor, church or ministry.

3. Community guidelines

Believers Corner is for encouragement, fellowship and growing in faith. Please don't post or send anything that:

  • Harasses, bullies, threatens or shames anyone.
  • Attacks people for who they are, including their race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, disability or background.
  • Is sexually explicit, violent or graphic.
  • Is spam, a scam, or asks people for money under false pretences.
  • Shares someone's private information or prayer request without their permission.
  • Infringes someone else's copyright, including sermons or music you don't have the right to share.
  • Breaks the law or encourages others to.

Prayer requests often hold personal things. Handle what others share with care.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post — words, photos, videos and Sermon Shorts. You give us a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free licence to host, store and display it in the app to the audience you choose, and to make copies needed to run the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where others have already shared it or the law requires us to keep it.

5. Churches and groups

  • Church admins manage their church page and may post announcements to every member. They're responsible for what they publish.
  • Group leaders can make groups open or invite‑only, set reading plans and remove members.
  • Joining a church or group on Believers Corner doesn't make you a member of that church in real life, and churches aren't run by us.

6. Reports and moderation

You can report any post, comment, message or account. Content that several members report may be hidden automatically while we review it. We may remove content or limit, suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If you think we got it wrong, email us and we'll take another look.

7. Messages and calls

Direct messages and group chats are end‑to‑end encrypted and stored only on your phone. Because we can't see them, we can't recover chats if you lose or reset your phone — use Settings → Back up chats. The community guidelines still apply to messages, and people you talk to can report you.

8. Scripture and sermons

Bible translations in the app (KJV, WEB, ASV, BBE and YLT) are in the public domain. Sermons and Sermon Shorts belong to the churches and people who share them; don't re‑upload them elsewhere without permission.

9. Using the app fairly

  • Don't copy, scrape or collect other members' information.
  • Don't try to break, overload or get around the app's security.
  • Don't reverse‑engineer the app or use it to build a competing service.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your profile, posts, comments, messages and group memberships. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

11. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Believers Corner running well, but it's provided “as is” and may sometimes be unavailable or have bugs. Content from members, pastors and churches reflects their own views. The app is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial or mental‑health advice — if you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services.

12. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content posted by other members. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₦50,000 if you paid us nothing. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Nigeria, unless your local law gives you the right to bring them where you live.

14. Changes

We may update these terms as the app grows. We'll let you know in the app before important changes take effect. If you keep using Believers Corner after that, you accept the new terms.
